Manifold exhuast leak & fuel pump switch.
I've just taken my car in to get a WOF and it failed because there's a leak somewhere around the turbo. The guys who did the check said it was a broken bolt connecting turbo to manifold. I just took it down to another place who said it was the gasket between the manifold and the block(they reckon its a six hour job@ $52 per hour). Is there any common leaks that occur??
Is it a difficult job to get the turbo out?
And question number two: The car has developed a complete hate of starting once its been warmed up. I did a search and besides leaky injectors and numerous other things ppl have said that a switch on the fuel pump relay to cut the fuel when starting works well. In the threads I read ppl said this relay was under the dash somewhere. But looking in my manual all I can see is a fuel pump main relay in the engine bay up near the front. Is this the one?????

It's much more likely it's the gasket between the turbo and the manifold. I got a shop to fix mine (didn't have the time to do it myself) and it cost about $300 including the very expensive gasket. It's not a particularly difficult job to do yourself though.
Get your injectors out and have them professionally cleaned. Check out the diesel specialist; they do the same job for less than the EFI specialists. I paid $20 each instead of the $50 everyone else quoted. If that doesn't help get a compression test done; it might be close to rebiuld time. In the mean time put a fuel pump switch in. Go to the bottom of this thread and read my write-up.
