Man.. these cold days give the turbo steroids!!!
It's DAMN cold right now, and heading to class almost every morning at 7:30 just isnt' my idea of fun, but it's gotta be done. Wind Chill later today of -30 Celcius!
Anyways, the turbo loves it!
When I start my car up, and everything is cold, after about 1 min of driving to get the internals warm, I can floor it at 1200 rpm's in 3rd and see a few psi of boost. 8 psi is seen by 1600! Respnose is almost instant!! It's awesome! I actually have to be carefull when just taking off normally that I don't spike to 8 psi of boost pulling out of my driveway with an ice-cold engine!
After the car fully warms up I don't see full boost untill over 2000 rpms.. that's still better than 2600+ in the middle of summer!
I love frigid cold conditions and a high compression engine!
