Make a Poll>>>What colour looks best on a 2nd Gen?
I had the nasty stock red and changed to Acura color, "Inza Red". It looks really dark red without a lot of light, and a nice maroon with a hint of metallic in the sun.

Not that the red isn't a nice color for our car but I just want a change. I really like the fact that you pianted those side moldings all around a matching color
Go with a 3rd gen color, montego blue or competition yellow mica. Those are my two favorite car colors.
I have a black car, and although it does look pretty cool, it is not worth the visible marks, dirt and imperfections.
happy painting,
Ike

You're really going to be sorry if you change color
unless you totally strip down your car before repainting. Otherwise you'll be handycapping yourself if you ever want to resell your Rex.
Best suggestion is to go for a different shade of red. If it were me, I'd go with a really deep candy apple red.

My 87 TII was originally the Sunrise RED your talking about. Some RED that over 14 years had turned into some DUKES OF HAZZARD barf orange color. So I painted my car 2001 BMW Cosmos Black Metallic. Here have a look:

Cleaning is not a problem for me.
Why would I have a hard time selling?
As long as I pain the door jams and I could do the hood by myslef with some ordinary black paint. Even though I probobly won't sell it.
Are there any other areas besides the door jams that are kind of noticeable and that would look bad if I didn't pain them.
My car is turining that orange color too when it hasn't been washed or on a crappy day
Problem for me too is that I have a few dings on the doors. Do u think the average body guy can get most of those out?

I'm painting Black for sure. I'll suffer any consequences later. The guy painting it will go over everything before we go through with it
