hey guys i got a big Q .. my friend was drivin his 86 n/a the other day when he seen a bunch of steam commin from his hood.. i looked at it and u can see white all over the engine from the calicuim in the water and when u turn the key nothing happens.. no power i checked with a voltmeter hes gettin power to all fuses under hood. inside the fuse box . juss power to radio and a few other none important things all the rest arent gettin any power headlights work all the chessy crap but nothing happens when u turn the key .. have any of u had this problem or thinku can help point me in the direction of where to look for the problem.. a guy was suppoed to come buy the car for 800$ but he said hell give us 3 days now to try and fix it..and we cant figure out wut the heck is wrong..

Check the wiring for voltage through switch to solenoid to starter.

Yea check the starter, I say it **** the bed, could be totally unrealated to your situation.

Try to turn the engine from the front pulley bolt (3/4" deep well socket needed)...

If he blew a hose, and wasn't smart enough to shut her down in a reasonable amount of time, she might have seized up...
