I MUST disagree with some of your choices...

Don't waste your money on the Royal Purple stuff... High tech oils are great for trannys and rear ends, but after running RX's for 10 years, i don't buy into it for the motors. Get a high quality off the shelf oil and change it often, I use Castrol GTX or Valvoline 20/50 racing in july-august if i'm going to the track a lot.

I change my oil every 1500 miles... REASON... on a car that injects oil into the engine... dirty oil is NOT a good thing!!!! Think about it.

I run NGK plugs from Advance auto for $4.5 a piece and change them twice a year. I didn't see a difference with the expensive bling bling platnum plugs on my GTU (Turbo is a different story)....

I use a Purolator Micronic oil filter... oil comes out almost as nice as it went in when i change it at 1500 miles and they are a cool metallic blue color!!!!!

The racing beat ignition wires, However, I like.

Talk to the guys at racing beat before you put a header on... they'll tell you that your only going to see 1 more HP with the header versus the downpipe/presilencer combo. I've had both, the header was just louder, there was no noticible difference in the car. The headers don't work that well with fuel injection, they show the most benefit when you have a supercharger or a big carb.

Personally, I wouldn't put the Bonez crap on my lawnmower.. I don't think it's made as well as the Racing Beat stuff. RC full catback was a thing of beauty and it fit perfectly in the stock locations,,, as did the down pipe and presilencer.

For that price, you can get a Purolator Pure1 oil filter that rates at the top on a lot of independent oil filter tests.

-fcstore.com- oil royal purple 10w30-$6
I agree with YearsOfDecay - synth oil is overkill.  Are you racing your car?  If it's just street, stick with a good quality mineral engine oil.

-rx7store.net- Racing Beat Ultra Ignition Wires for 86-92 RX-7 Non Turbo ( 8mm)-$95
Really overkill, but if you don't mind spending that kinda money, it's the last set of spark plug wires you'll buy for the car.  Alternative options are NGK, Magnecor, Taylor, MSD - all if them make good economical sets which are at least half the price.

-rx7store.net- NGK Platinum spark plugs for 86-91 RX-7-$44
Check your local auto parts big chains like Pep Boys, AutoZone, or Kragen/Schucks/Checkers - they can usually beat that price be a few dollars PER spark plug.

Though I agree generally that Bonez build quality is not as nice as Racing Beat, I don't think RB offers a high-flow catalytic converter if you need one for emissions.

For the past three years and 25,000 miles, I've used the Bonez PowerFlo catalytic converter only which is $250 from rx7.com. The downside of the SuperFlo setup for $315 is that the converter is integrated with the downpipe/pre-cat replacement pipe, which means you can't replace just one or the other if you need to. Also, the Bonez downpipe is made of mild steel which will rust in time. I had a local muffler shop make me a custom stainless downpipe for $150. Sounds good on my 1990 GTU and there is a noticeable power increase over stock.

You don't need the slotted brake rotors. Save yourself a bunch of money and buy regular ones.

Keep in mind that you cannot have a header and Bonez Powerflow System ($315) because the downpipe and header fill the same space.

"I change my oil every 1500 miles... REASON... on a car that injects oil into the engine... dirty oil is NOT a good thing!!!! Think about it."

Since they say we get alot of fuel dilution, the "dirtier" the oil is the richer it should run.

So if you can find a way to listen to air to fuel ratios lemme know

I'd just get regular copper plugs (BUR7EQ leading and BUR9EQ trailing). If you foul the plugs out due to flooding then you're not out as much money.

Haynes manual, $20. Well worth it. Just go down the list of maintenance items and make sure you cover everything. Everything you have listed is good. Might not need the ignition wires, but w/e. I'm just saying there are other things and for that matter some are more important than oil changes. If you want to do the big ones now I'd also get a new Mazda thermostat and check your hoses & belts to see if they need replacing or tightening. Also check all fluids and top off whatever needs it. If the coolant is brown then change that right away, otherwise there's no rush. Can't think of anything else critical off the top of my head, but yeah follow the maintenance schedule and do everything.
