Main fuse keeps blowing out

Well last night I was going out to some clubs here in Austin (6th street). And I was going into a parking garage and pressed the button for a ticket to open the gate and as soon as I tooks my foot off the clutch to go the car just dies. So embarres as *** I have to push the car into the garage, so I look under the hood to check all the connections and everything is fine, look at fuses and the main 80a fuse is dead. So all the auto places are closed, so end up leaving my car and going out and drinking my sadness away!! So in the morning I go to the garage with a new fuse install and the car is alive again, About to leave the garage but have to stop the car to pay garage teller, so I put the car in neautral with engine running and get out of the car (car is too low for drive-tru!) and pay. When I get back in and take off it dies!!!! Just like the night before!!! So end up pushing car out to the street, go to auto parts store get another fuse. Install and turn car on again, Everythings fine so I drive the car home. So when I would get to the stop lights I would keep revs high so. Car made it all the way home, but I would make sure car wouldnt idle. So got home and and let the car idle in the garage. Turned it off and turned it back on and car is fine. Can anyone help me prevent or maybe have same experience?

Don't go to that parkin again.

It never hapenned to me though. In fact I'm pretty lucky with my FC since I nearly never had an engine problem; everything else fails though.....

That actually might be it, I have an fd alt. And the little rubber boot for the alt cable got old and tore. So in place I wrapped electrical tape around it, Well the alt is rubbing tmic really bad, so I checked the electrical tape and it was worn out. So i put some piece of old carpet in between the alt and tmic. And thats have I was able to drive home!
