Main Fuse Block on 88 GTU...EGI fuse and EGI inj./ what is the difference ?
This info would be of great help to me....would the EGI inj. fuse stop the fuel pump if it were pulled? I notice the fuel pump will run with the EGI fuse operational...
As usual thanks for all your help...

The 40A EGI INJ fuse powers the 2 coils and the 4 injectors
The 30A EGI COMP fuse powers the ECU and most (if not all) of the emission-related solenoids all over the place
Both circuits run through the main relay...
So, to answer your question, the fuel pump should run with the EGI INJ fuse pulled, but the injectors would not...

No, but I'm managing it better. I'm finding that when it don't start up I can pull the fuse EGI inj and let it turn over a few times and it will usually fire right up...I have a toggle switch in the car (extra anti theft) that is wired into the lead going into the EGI fuse....turning that off doesnt seem to help so I'm going to try and switch that over to the EGI inj and see if it keeps up...
Also found that my small wire coming off the battery terminal (+) is somewhat compromised....seems like I can take the pos term off and reconnect and she will fire right up...its crazy man, its crazy....also replaced the
water thermo sensor and that did not stop it....last resort is to remove UIM and clean the ground.

well, while you're at it (taking the UIM off), you can accomplish a lot of preventative maintenance- change or clean the injectors, replace all the heat-soaked hardened/ cracking fuel lines, replace the accessible vac hoses, replace the Pulsation Dampner, and clean that ground up...On another note, try running a seperate wire (same gauge, leave the old one alone for now) from the pos batt terminal (maybe a BIG terminal under the original terminal) to that alt ring terminal connection to see if that helps...

Wayne...you ain't gonna believe this......I've got the hoods up on two of my 88's in the garage right now...right under the fuse box is two large white connectors...one is a six prong and one is a two prong...on the intermittent one BOTH OF THEM are DISCONNECTED ! On the other Rx they are connected...can you believe that...should be no harm in hooking them back up eh ? everything seems to work ok....what do you think ?
