Maf sensor location

probably an incredibly stupid question but where the hell is the maf sensor at? i checked my haynes manual and i can't find it. hopefully someone can give me a real quick answer..

It is called an Air Flow Meter (AFM), which is a specific type of mass airflow meter. It is larger mechanical version of the newer and smaller hot-wire type of mass airflow meters commonly called MAF sensors. As mentioned by Hecubus84, it is located on the downstream side of the air box. Do NOT monkey with the AFM if you don't know what you are doing, as it can cause permanent damage and the car will not run without it.
