Who ever told you that is smoking some good crack. You can use anything from the old LT8 up the line of microtechs to the new LTX12s. YOu can use Wolf ecu's and Haltech ECU's. Some people even use mega squirt & sparks.

I don't plan to have any "EMS" on my N/a as I don't plan to do heavy porting on that car. But on my supercharged car I plan to have a Microtech since they are usually less expensive. Haltech is a very good company too so don't look down on their products. Other than those two I don't have first hand experience with wolf/megasquirt.

Also one thing you should take note of, buy what your local tuner or you will be most comfortable and knoledgable with. If your local tuner is best on a haltech then pick that up, etc.

FOR AN N/A - Please, oh PLEASE, do NOT get bigger fuel injectors! N/A runs RICH from the factory. Bigger injectors will make you run even more rich, you're car will smell and run like ***, and you will waste gas. LEANING out you're car can actually give you more power gains than ADDING.

As far as exhaust, if you like the sound that something along the lines of a Civic on Apex'i exhaust, get anything but Racing Beat. If you like mellow, soothing sounds, get Racing Beat. I've also heard of people taking the RB presilencer and welding it into another brand of exhaust. People say the presilencer is what gives the RB it's sweet sweet rotary hum.

Again, NO INJECTORS!
