Can't you just replace the s5 open diff with a s4 lsd diff?

Your multiple bumps have been deleted. Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section.

Plus, Black91n/a already answered your last question. Did you not see his post??? Why are you bumping again???

Plus bumps make you look like an impatient child who thinks his or her question is more important than anyone else's on this board. Why do you think you question is more important than anyone else's???

The only possible issue I'm aware of is that the S5 viscous LSD uses unequal length stubs, other than that, S5 or S4 can mix and match, as long as it's all NA or TII. You can even swap in a Torsen from a Miata into an NA housing, or one from an FD into a TII housing.

just swap the complete housing to save headaches. you would have to check ring and pinion play if you take it apart

I made a post asking the same question. When blwn rtr 89' says: tII and N/A pumpkin housings are completely different. Your talking about the casing that the diff bolts onto ?

Q: What's different between a TII and an NA diff?

Sorry to sound like a jerk, but anyone by now should know the na and t2 diff are differnt, if not knowing the axles, drieshaft, and tranny are differtn. Its really been covered soo many times its been beaten to death. Its been discussed a few times every quarter. Mazdatrix.com is a great website. After having 6 shots of BUshmill's whiskey and 6 or more beers, consider me nice and patient. Tons of info beaten to hell, much like my liver.

The stubshafts that go into the diff might be differnt. but t2 axles n diff n driveshaft are good for turbo models, and NA models seem to all go together. Im not 100% sure about NA application, but I owuld htink only stubshafts matter, that is why we recomend to just change out complete diff's. not just the internals, unless a full rebuild is considered. And even then, the correct stub shafts would have to be consdiered. I must pee now, please excuse me
