LSD question?

I have a 90 vert, and I know it doesn't come factory with limited slip, but I've noticed that when I peel out I leave two marks, not one. Well, I just changed my diff fluid and tranny (manual) fluid a couple days ago. When I did, I noticed that one of the old fluids was reddish, and one was not. So it got me thinking further...two questions. How can I tell if I have a LSD or not just by looking at it or jacking it up? And how bad is it to put 80w-90 gear lube in there if it is in fact a lsd? Thank you.

You can jack the rear and spin on side tire. If the other side spins the other way, you have an open diff. If the tires spin the same direction, then there's an LSD there. If the other side doesn't spin, there's an LSD, but it's not working very good.

Or you could just look for the tag on the diff.

hmmm...I did that (spin the tires) and when I did, only one side spun. I was expecting to see the other side spin the opposite direction, but it didn't hardly move. Well that's good! Now don't I have to put LSD oil or something in there?

I just used that sweet search button. It's amazing how much you can learn by not being lazy. Sorry guys, I think all my questions were answered.
