lowering weight = raising car

Has anyone noticed their car to be a little higher up after some massive weight reduction?

of course that will happen....its simple physics

take any spring and push it down....the more force (weight) on it, the farther down it goes

That should be a given, get a fat person in your car and watch the car get lower, then make them get out and watch it get higher.

Your springs are working to keep a certain amount of weight at a certain height, take that away and now they having a little more advantage and are doing less work to sustain that weight, i.e. vehicle will raise.

Yeah without an engine my front end has about a foot of guard clearance....

But seriously yeah when I completly stripped out my AE86s' interior I did see a noticable raise in height..

I know that it will raise the car, but I guess my real question is how much. I would like to come out with my car being close to stock height(not a fan of extreme lowering...) so I was figuring if I got some 3/4in lowering springs and reduced the weight some, then I would actually lower my car less than 3/4 in, maybe 1/2 or 1/4 in.

Just lower you car like 1" max. You should be happy with the results. Depending on how much weight you lose, the car will ride alittle lower than stock, but hardly noticable.
