Thumbs up lower you heat

"This is for stock air intakes" I took a dryer hose you know the aluminum flex hose and formed it in to a square and placed it at one of the openings in the nose and ran it up to the air intake ( taking out the plastic shield near the hood lever ) and left it just below the plastic air intake so it would send cold air up to the air intake and lowered the filter box temp by 20 degrees.

It is a hand held lazer temp sensor the kind you get at Napa or Autozone, battery powered that you use to see how hot the radiator is or the intake.

i wouldnt use that as an accurate reading of air temp. that tests the temp of a surface area.

The inside heat is going to be refleted on the outside, just as the exhaust pipes reflect heat on the outside.

Even if you take the difference off for being in the engine compartment it still is a reduction of heat and any heat reduction is good.
