Low impedance stock with Ford 1600cc

I have a 1988 10th AE. My old harness did not have the resistor pack and had high resistance injectors REd top offset tab. Harness I received from Mazdatrix based on my serial number came with low impedance harness. Odd and a pain in the *** having to get new injectors and a resistor pack.

So I purchased 4 new tan low impedance center tap 3ohm injectors and still have my old 1600cc injectors around 5ohms center tap. Can I run this combo with my low impedance harness with the built in resistor pack? On the stock ecu. Then swap in an adaptronic or haltech plug and play with no issues?

Will 2ohms make a difference?

Another question. Clean the old injectors or buy new for double the price?

On the stock ECU? No. Rtek can't even handle that much of a change.

As far as cleaning the old injectors... yes.

I'd keep within a 25% change or so,from Primary to Secondary on that Rtek..
like 750/1000 .
If you get too far out of whack you run into transitional problems.
550/1600 may be good on say an E6K,But a RTEK?.no.

The stock ecu is just for start up and breakin under 3000rpm. There is no reason you can't have 1600cc injectors installed secondary. They will never come on. The primary will just be the low impedence with resister pack. I figure it will be easier to make sure everything is put back together resolve issue then put in tunable EMS.

IE after which I will install either an adaptronic or haltech plug and play. (Patch loom kit) The adaptronic or haltech will not care what impendence I am using. No poing going Rtek as I need a boost controller too. The ems will support that an a bunch of other otions.

Oh now I get the question! It's not the SIZE of the injector you're concerned with, it's ONLY the impedance. As far as I know, that should be fine. The driver's aren't going to freak out because there's an imbalance in current flowing through the primary vs. secondary injector drivers, and 2 ohms difference would make little difference in the driver circuit anyways.
