Low end shudder

Hey
So i've recently bough a 2nd gen with a rebuild motor that apparently was properly broken in...but i have no way of knowing if this is true or not...
my question is...what would cause a shudder from about 1300-2000 rpm
the motor runs smooth before and after that range but at that point it seems like it's really struggling

Regardless of gear? Even in neutral? How much throttle are you giving it? Please be more specific about the operating conditions as lots of things could be causing your problem. ~rich

it's only noticable in neutral when the car is parked, and less than a 1/4 throttle if that...

with clutch in or out? does it do it when its warmed up or only cold? in the meanwhile, check your tps to make sure it's adjusted properly. ~rich

the clutch position doesn't seem to matter in/out, and it's more predominant when the motor is warm

stuttering (coughing/sputtering)is bad. Shuttering / vibrating is probably old/worn motor mounts, tranny mounts, differential mounts, etc...

If you got documentation with the car, see if the dealership installed motor mounts along with the engine.
