low coolant buzzer?

gah ... my car is giving low coolant buzzer~
and i KNOW the coolant is topped off... I filled the rear l'il catch can full and "pumped" the hoses when it was running to try and change the flow enough to get any bubbles out ... ... still low coolant buzzer.
the only thing i think it could be is that i shorted something when i was tightening the alternator belt... (i did see sparks and was lucky i was wearing my mechanix gloves)

meh, i'll be checking / adding more coolant tomorrow morning

Are you aware of what sensor causes the buzzer to come on? Top of radiator in the middle. Check that sucker and make sure the wire isn't broken.

Did you bleed the air out with the radator air bleeder screw that is on the side of the radiator?

When I flushed the radiator I took extra care to remove all the bubbles too and the damn buzzer kept going off intermitently for another day. You just have to drive around, top it off... drive around... top it off until the rest of the air works its way out. If its still making noise after a couple days then I'd take more drastic measures to check the system.

while the engine warm but off, if you squeeeze the top rad hose, do you hear bubbles/air moving around in the hose.

If you do, then you didn't get all the air out.

and don't forget that low oil will also cause the buzzer

10-4...

I ended up just driving until the bubbles were out of the system
didn't know there even was a rad bleeder other than the fill and overflow.
