lost to an NA mk4 supra.

yep, ran into a 93+ supra tonight and he caught me offguard and got a good launch. i totally bogged first, then i missed third. couldnt have gone any worse anyways, i'm only @ 7 lbs of boost and he had full exhaust (it sounded like it) and intake as well. i got him from a roll in 3rd though,

You should have challenged him again since you lost off the line. I am kinda suprised that you beat him off a roll, because Supra's have great top end power over most cars. Then again, most Supras have a good amount of power running through them, besides intake and exhaust.

i'll drive around and see if i can find him once i get my RB catback and hks bov installed. is this catback really the biggest factor in my car being limited at 7lbs of boost? i have a downpipe and straightpipe, is this stock catback holding me back?

How did you know it was a N/A Supra? There were some TT Supras that came without the rear spoiler. I think with the Supra, the only way of knowing if it's TT is if the wheels are 16"s...but that's stock.

it was a non-turbo. i talked to the dude for a second before he got the jump on me at the light. i asked him if it was a twinturbo. he said, 'nope'
i said, 'oh, ok.' like i was faster or something
all he had to say to me was, "what year is that?" i responded with "87"
then i said, 'well man, thats a nice supra. you wanna run em?'
he revs up for a split second and drops the hammer, i think 'ah ****' and go 'bog bog bog' as i slowly accelerate until i hit 4k and start boostin.
i should TOTALLY be able to take an NA supra. is my stock catback holding me back?

well, i asked the guy and he said he was a non-turbo. i suppose he could have been lying, but i doubt it. it wasn't ungodly fast or anything, and i didnt hear a blow off valve sound or anything.

hang your head in shame

Those are like 220 hp and 3400 lbs

OUCH sounds like the power and weight of a camry or accord...

Ohh well, sounds like you didnt get a clear launch.. maybe you need mods?

I beat a MKIII supra last weekend! they are pretty fast with the right driver. From what i could see and here the car only had a catback exhaust? We raced 4 times! 40 mph roll ons, the first time we droped i was sitting in second gear @ 4500 rpms, as soon as i heard his turbo's start to spool i double clutched 2nd to 7500 rpm into fifth gear! opps! So we had a few more runs same roll ons 40 mph, 2nd gear 4500 rpm and a double clutch into third gear up to 80 mph than shut it down! i only had about 1.5 to 2 cars on him but my pile of **** still out leged a beautiful super car, the blond that was in the passenger seat of the supra was not vary impressed!

I'm pretty sure the supra was an automatic!

Yo jacob, do the TID mod. See what happens. I'm willing to bet you get to like 9psi with it done right as long as everything else is in order.
