Lost injector signal under 1500 RPMs
I have a 1990, I purchased it with a blown motor and decided to save its life.... I purchased a not so blown motor and swapped all the components over and the car turns over ok... but if it falls a hair below 1500rpms it loses signal to 2 of the injectors and chokes... once i figure this out my drop top will be complete

Each rotor has a primary injector and a secondary injector. The primary injectors fire all the time, and the secondary injectors start to fire at 3800rpm. At this changeover point the injector pulsewidth is halved, so that total amount of fuel injected doesn't change. This staged injection is used because one big injector would not provide sufficient accuracy at very low pulsewidths (i.e. idle and slow cruise).
An out-of-adjustment TPS is the most likely cause of your problem. Do a search for the correct procedure to set it correctly.
