Loss of power in fifth gear...

i've noticed that when driving my 86 n/a around that it seems to lose alot of power in fifth gear anyone ever have this problem oh and can anyone suggest any good resonators to use on my 7. thanks

Resonators will burn out quick.

And you don't have any power in fifth gear because your car doesn't have much power to begin with. (If it is stock...or near stock and not overly ported)

well for one thing on the stock n/as this is kind of how your gears work in a normal explanation:
1st gear: pure acceleration. nothing but power
2nd gear: still nothing but accel. still alot of power
3rd gear: accel but starting to lean out to top speed(barely noticible),much power
4th gear: some acceleration but more top speed, losing noticible power
5th gear: gear mainly to get you up to speed and to hold you there, accelereation is not to noticible, no felt power(aka hidden power)
