Losing top or low end?
i have an 86 n/a bought a motor off a guy. He took the actuators w/ rods that go into the motor and blocked the holes off. If i keep it how it is will i be losing top end or low end power? (the motor isnt in the car yet)
No! Bad dog. If the 5th and 6th ports are BLOCKED, as the OP described them, he will lose top end performance. If they were always open he would lose his low end. There are a few ways either of you could have known this, one way being the foreknowledge that the 5th and 6th ports are opened somewhere in the top portion of your RPM range, another way being the search function. This has been covered a lot. I've never owned an NA '7, but I know this.
OP, if you plan on fixing them I would recommend adding the 5th and 6th port inserts. They're little ramps that drastically improve the flow of the auxiliary ports, they're very easy to install and I think Pineapple Racing sells them.

hmm his description isnt good enough i was assuming he had the holes blocked of where the actuaters bolted on to and everything else was removed resulting it being open all the time...if you actually have the ports blocked off then yes you will lose top end
The way I read it (literally), the rod holes that turn the valves are blocked off.
Without taking the LIM off, one may not know if the valves are open, closed, or missing.
On a stock system, the valves open the auxiliary ports above ~ 3800RPM
