Loose seat sliders

Is it normal for seat sliders to be loose (meaning the seat will rock forward about half an inch) when it's either far forward or far back (in my case)?

If not, is it fixable?

Would Sparco/etc sliders have the same problem?

Remove the seat by unbolting the 4 mounting bolts. Turn the seat upside down and tighten the slider mounting bolts. Reinstall the seat.

TIP: Be very careful when reinstalling the 4 seat mounting bolts. They can be easily cross threaded. Squirt a little WD40 on the threads and in the floor mounting points. Make sure when you insert the bolts that you can turn the bolts a few turns by hand before putting a wrench on them. You may have to put a little side pressure on the seat to line up the bolt hole with the mounting point.

I think I may have already tightened a few of those bolts and they were already fully tightened (at least the ones I could reach when the seat is still on the car were).

I think the problem may have to do either with a bad design or worn out bearings or something?

I could have sworn it didn't do this until a few months ago though...

Well...there are no bearings. Just tracks. Could be the locking mechanism is loose or worn. Like I said, take out the 4 bolts holding the seat in the car and check out the sliders and the locking mechanism. Simple.

I think the tracks themselves are loose...
