It's in the FSM...

I've never adjusted mine at the peddle end (if there even is an adjustment there), but I have at the engine side, at the standoff with the jam nuts at the back of the TB...

If you have that much freeplay all of a sudden, don't you think it would be something else? Carpet lodged up under the pedal lever, didn't quite reinstall the throttle cable run correctly, that kind of thing???

no, i touched none of that... carpet isnt hurting anything

as far as i can tell, the reason is because when we were pulling the carpet out (sucks getting it out without removing the heater core) we really had to yank, i think it may have over extended the pedal UP and done something to the cable

ill check my fsm ... thanks

anyone who ever had to do this can let me know how it went, the fsm is usually vague i like being prepared for horror stories

related question: kinda curious if there is a way to make the cable more resistant too. i would like some resistance in the pedal.

Neither of these issues should be bothering you if you keep it floored like it's supposed to be...

Beef up the springs in the throttle bellcrank out on the TB...Add a turn to it, install a beefier one, whatever...

Add a turn means to wrap the spring one revolution more before reinstalling it on the bellcrank...
