LOOKING FOR A REX at a good price!
Hey everyone!
I'm new here, but I am also in the Protege forum. I'm looking into getting a REX at a really cheap price so I can tune it up! I have come around a few but they want too much as far as $$$ wise. I wanted to know how much is a good price and what all the different classifications mean......
PS: i'm looking around the $2000-2500 region(remember i'm a college student )

well, I would say go around looking at ones that 'aren't running'. a lot of times they get flooded and people don't know how to unflood them. there are a few ways to do it, unfortunately I don't know how because I haven't had to unflood an engine, but I'm sure someone will show up who can help you out with that. if you find one like that, you could possibly be able to get it for around $200-$300.

Also, look for ones not on this forum, that say "Blown Engine." This is usually a simple fix using automatic transmission fluid! Find a car for under $1000, then let us know what is "wrong" with it, and we can probally tell you how to fix it for cheap! Good Luck!
