Keep scouring for someone doing emissions removal. I threw my EGR valve in the garbage when I ripped my emissions out 3 years ago.

I think I have a way to test the valve, but I don't have a vacuum gauge to check how much vacuum I'm applying. I will try to test it within the next couple days.

You don't need an EGR to pass emissions. It doesn't do a whole lot on rotaries. Get rid of it.

Do you need one i Kali because they test to see the EGR specificaly is working? Or because of the check to make sure it is actually there on the engine? If its just an "eyeball" check, they you should be fine if it isn't working.

No I do need one to pass emissions, and i do want it to function, because it will increase fuel mileage, which my car is suffering

Well, a new one will cost you 400 or so bucks, period. So you will have to find a working used one.
That said, I really don't think they do much. S5's don't even have one.... Even if they do have a slight effect on emissions, I really doubt they do much for fuel economy.

I tested mine tonight as best I could. I did it two ways, the first by using a pump I have that draws from one end (acting as a siphon), which pulled the valve open, but since the pump itself holds vacuum very poorly it released the valve. The next test I just pushed the valve down and blocked the vacuum tube and left it like that for 15 minutes, over which time it didn't budge.

So, $30 shipped.

that one looks like an s4 turbo. The turbos have theres mounted sideways. So the little heat sheild thingy will be on the bottom.

They are NOT interchagable. Ask me how I know.

Well, it's technically not off my car, I had a spare and it was easier to use this one. However, it sounds like they ^^^ are correct that it's the same as the one currently ON my car ('87 TII).

Anyone else want it?

Oh, you're right sorry.

And if your mileage is that bad, a miracle EGR valve won't help at all. Sounds like you have other issues to sort out.
