Looking for my first RX7
Looking for my first RX7
What's the best year to buy? I'm looking for a project due to financials but not a junker.
I found this one on ebay:

but it's quite a distance away. What's the going price on a decent project?

Well, he says it "has a problem" but doesn't identify it. If the problem is simple like a flooded engine, that's a great price for an S5. If the engine is blown, that's a different story.
"Project" cars tend to run from $0 (just get it out of my yard!) to however much you are willing to spend. The market value of RX-7s gets really weird, some people scrape up TII's for $50 while around my area absolutely ANYTHING with a TurboII badge sells for $3k and up.
It also depends what kind of project you want to build. An S5 GXL is a porky car, however it is very comfy too. It's all a matter of preference.
For reference, I have an '86 Sport for my project.

That car has a problem you dont know of don't get it,you want to know whats wrong and why go all that way when it could be blown Apex seals.A good avarage price for a project TII would be around 3 grand.Get a S5 they look better.
