Looking for my first RX7
What's the best year to buy? I'm looking for a project due to financials but not a junker.
I found this one on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2443623176
but it's quite a distance away. What's the going price on a decent project?

Well, he says it "has a problem" but doesn't identify it. If the problem is simple like a flooded engine, that's a great price for an S5. If the engine is blown, that's a different story.
"Project" cars tend to run from $0 (just get it out of my yard!) to however much you are willing to spend. The market value of RX-7s gets really weird, some people scrape up TII's for $50 while around my area absolutely ANYTHING with a TurboII badge sells for $3k and up.
It also depends what kind of project you want to build. An S5 GXL is a porky car, however it is very comfy too. It's all a matter of preference.
For reference, I have an '86 Sport for my project.

if i could go back, I'd get an s5 turboII. Theyre the fastest of all fc's. But an S4 TII would be cool too. But it all really depends if you want turbo or not. Keep looking though.
