Looking for Cheap But High Quality Parts

i just got a 1991 rx-7 gtu and was wondering about really high quality parts that won't break my bank account. as in performance, body kits, and also suspension and brakes. i'm only 17 and this is my first imort so i'm green to the whole import scene so any feedback would be awesome. thanks

Cheap, Fast, Reliable.

Pick any two.

Unless you are good at fabrication (which I take it you are not, based on the post ) then you will be stuck spending money. Some vendors are cheaper then others (ie. Injected Performance and RX-7 Store...blatant plug there....) but for the most part you will be paying for what you want. When start getting into money-wasting items like body kits the price goes up dramatically due to the installation labour needed to make it all fit.

pick any 1 you mean.

there is no such thing is cheap and reliable parts that i've seen, nor cheap and high quality, you'll learn as you gain a few years with quality comes a price.

I think boostedrex posted this a few days ago:

cheap and fast isn't reliable
cheap and reliable isn't fast
fast and reliable isn't cheap

Fact is that if you want a really sick, really fast car, it WILL break your bank - unless you happen to be secretly related to Donalnd Trump or Bill Gates

to add to that....fabrication CAN save you lots of money and does add something that no one else can, the custom feel and feeling of accomplishment......but fab. will only get you so far - ever seen someone "fab" a set of upgraded ignition coils? or an Aeromotive fuel pump? or a rim and tire?

best way is to buy used parts (people are always upgrading when they have cash) or trade among members.........of course use common sense when looking at used parts.

Ever dealt with rx7world.com? The seem to have to have some of the best OEM parts prices, at least in comparison to mazdatrix.

well since people are plugging, i have had no issues with:

http://rx7.com

very good prices, best price i've found on the competition rubber mounts aside from mazdacomp but not everyone can buy from mazdacomp.

Yeah, the famous sig. And oh how true it is.

And since everyone else is plugging stores, www.performanceconceptsonline.com , www.randdmotorports.com , Rotary Evolution, and 5one5 Innovations. Those are the places I have been shopping for as long as I can remember.

I would say check out the for sale section as often as you can. You will be able to find used parts that are still high quality for a good price.

but for new parts check out

www.corksport.com
www.mazdatrix.com
www.rx7.com
www.racingbeat.com
www.speedmachineperformance.com
www.summitracing.com
www.rx7cz.net/shop

I think that should get you started.
