Looking to buy an S5. need advice
im thinking about getting an rx-7, as the title says. i dont need to be super fast or anything. and im trying to stay away from the turbo II's cus they are way out of my pricerange. im looking to get into the low 14's or possibly lower with the NA S5.
can i run a 50 shot of nitrous on an rx-7? i think that would put me into the 14's. ive never heard of anybody using nitrous on a rotary, but i dont see why it wouldnt work.
and one more question: can the NA tranny support all that power? ive heard that it is only good up to 200 hp. with the nitrous, i would really be pushing that.
thanks in advance for all the help.

Lots of people use nitrous
It's s4 na tranny that can only get 200 bhp, and it's the clutch not the tranny. A cheap centerforce or so clutch would be more than enough
and to get into low 14's, some bigger injectors, a walbro 255, and a safc should do the trick
With the amount of money you'll spend on parts, including the intake and exhaust and 1000 other minor things, a tii might be your best bet
OPTIONALLY, i'm building a 88 NA that will be running an easy 14. If you wanna come pick it up when i git r done, that would be cool.

For all of your NOS related activities.
And with basic bolt ons, a good clutch/flywheel combination, and a nice port job. 14's will be easily attainable.
