Plenty of Questions

Finally getting around to fixing the little things that need to be done on my car. I've had it for a year, but never had the time to do anything about it, not that I knew why it was doing some of these things anyway.

First question, what the hell could be wrong with my speedo that would make it shoot up and bury it at 300km/h, when going 10km/h? It seems to change day to day on how fast I'm going to bury the needle all the way to the bottom. I replaced the speedo cable already and that didn't fix it.

Next question is, on start up, if I press in the accelerator, my spark plugs stop working. It was the dealership that found this, and I can't remember if it was the Trailing or Leading, but in any case, they just stop firing. I should've noticed this when my tachometer dies when pressing on the gas on start-up, but it never hit me.

89 round taillights, do they fit right into an 86? If at all?

Lastly, leaky injectors might or might be the problem in my engine. I need the fuel cut off switch on my coloumn. If I didn't have that, my engine would NOT start. Even before the porting and removing the actuating sleeves, my engine would not start without that switch. If I flip the switch off during idle (which is rough, porting aside), the engine smooths out for a couple seconds, then slowely dies off.

If anyone has the paitence to read through that all, thanks for your help.

1. Could just be a faulty speedo. The thing is getting old.
2. You're not supposed to hit the gas on startup on a FI vehicle anyway. Stop that.
3. Yes, they will fit with minor modifications. Search for it. It may be on Aaron's website, actually.

round headlights are freakin expensive... 400 bucks is pretty steep for just that I think. though if you found em on a junker car or sometin thatd be awesome. tis only one piece that ahd to be modded a little to fit them in, and you can jsut grab the middle section for thew headlights too (the liscense plate surround) and I believe that will result in a no mod necessary scenario...
