I was told to ask you guys here this question.
Basically i am looking for an Rx7 in eastern canada to buy with about 100,000 miles, because this seems to be in my price range

i guess a second gen is what i want but i was told the motor was no good.

The car will may be used for rally so i want to keep the rotary engine because it fits the group 2 rally rules

So is it worth it to buy the car or not???

Or could i buy an older car and swap a newer engine in it??

 

depends on your price range, and how hard you look around. Mine is an 86 GXL with 87K original miles and I got it for $300......the good thing about rx7's is that a lot of people do not know what they are dealing with, which means if you look hard enough you might be able to find one that someone just wants to get rid of cheap. and don't believe it if someone tells you that the motor is no good...it really is a different beast but if I could I would put one in my other cars!!
