Have an 89 GXL N/A.

Nothing has been upgraded on the engine yet, but I do have upgrades planned for the future.

Right now I'm getting a blinking engine light. I don't get the light until after the car is been running awhile and then only appears when I down shift or if I'm sitting at a stop light for a prolonged time. My exhaust is shot and I'm looking to replace and upgrade it. Which I have a feeling is the cause of my engine light. Because its not getting a proper back pressure.

I'm looking for good performance, quality sound, and decent price tag exhaust system.

Any recommendations and links for good prices are appreciated.

 

the best place to get exhaust that i can think of is the RX-7 store. the link is at the top of the page on the left. recomendations are really your own preferences of sound and looks. there are plenty of single and dual exhaust for decent prices.

 

www.corksport.com has the cheapest one and it looks pretty nice.

as for the engine light.

If it's an '89 you don't really have to worry about back pressure because the 6 ports are opened by your air pump. The check engine light problem lies somewhere else. As for exhaust, I have corksport on my '90 GXL...the BEST value and sound.
