I have had my fair share of Insurance experience...

If you can avoid it...

DONT CLAIM IT, DONT EVEN CALL TO GET HELP.

There is a company called "ChoicePoint".

Everything that has EVER happened to that car, is recorded there.

Even if you call for information about IF you made a claim, then if you didnt claim it, they STILL list it as not-claimed...

And it "hurts" your "ChoicePoint" rating!

Check it out.

Call Choicepoint, tell them you want a copy of your report.

Give them some excuse why.

Youll be amazed at what they look at to give you insurance these days.

And theres so much mis-information about ChoicePoint in the insurance industry, don't be sureprised if they don't know about it or tell you that everything im saying is wrong.

AND insurance companies check your credit report when issuing a policy, EVEN if you pay for the policy in full.

Dont let them tell you they check your credit because "your financing the policy".

Its a lie.

Again, they check your credit report even if you pay up front!

Thats how you can prove its a lie.

ALSO... It's ILLEGAL to check your credit history for issuance of auto insurance.

Only for homeowners insurance is it legal.

How do they get away with it?

Well, the states are in constant hearings over this.
But they're not doing much about it.

I know what i'm saying here.

The blantantly will break the law, to justiy making your premuim higher.

Im 33, have a great driving record, and STILL have to fight about the history of any of my three 1991 RX-7s.

They all have a history of claims, all BEFORE I bought them, and the choicepoint report shows, this.

Each time I renew or get new insurance, i have to fight with them about where that data came from.

Its insane.

Just pay your premium, and never claim for anything other than catastrophic loss or injuries.

If you follow my advice, you can raise your deductable to the MAX and lower your payments too.

If you save the difference in your higher-to-lower payments for about 3-4 months, you have your whole deductable in the bank!

:END OF RANT
