Look what I made...

Before anybody asks what this has to do with 2gen specific, it was made form 2 gen engine parts

BTW< this is the prototype; I will be offering more for sale in the $75-100 range if there is a market, god knows I have plenty of unuseable engine parts to make them from

Yup, there is a market. Good work...Its amazing to me how you got that housing so clean and shinny. I've been scrubbin' at my intake for two days already, and it looks nothing like that!

The beanie baby, as well as the pictures, are my wife's, smartasses

The housing is cleaned with aircfaft remover, pressure washed, then painted with chrome spray. The rotor gets teh same treatment plus a wire brush to clean off carbon, then gets masked(stationary gear) and sprayed with gunmetal metallic wheel paint. Then it gets welded on the housing from the backside, and the clock inserted.

The only other thing I might to is get a black backpanel made, but Im unsure of how to attatch it. Maybe a magnet that would stick to the rotor? IT needs to be able to be taken back off easily, to access the clock for seting and batteries.

looks nice! i'd rather have one without the housing though, just the rotor. not cuz i think it would look better, but because it would actually fit on my bedside table.

BTW< I can also get this identical clock face in blue as well, it looks really nice as well. Look slike an anodized aluminum blue color.

As for digital, IM not sure it'd look right, and I didnt see anything in digital even close to round. Sorta defeats the purpose dont it?

I will start making some tomorrow. I can probably do 1 every day or so. Ill have to go buy more supplies.

At this point, the back of mine is open..including the rotor/clock. The clock I use are not made for this; I have to cut them out of a plastic molded base, and keep the parts I need: the clock face and workings, the wiring, and the battery pack. On mine, these are jus stuffed into the back of the rotor, and can be pulled back out if need be. I have thought of putting a backing plate on the whole thing, which might look better anyway.

Those of you wanting one; what do you think?

BTW, Im probably looking at a price of $100 shipped, with the choice of blue or chrome clock faces, and alternate rotor/housing paint schemes if desired. OR, $75 shipped for just a rotor.

Give me more feedback and we'll get this moving.
You'll have to be a bit patient for a few days; IM not going to take any payments or deposits until I have completed items ready to go. I dont want another repeat of the latest fiasco regarding made-to-order parts and deposits.

Apparently everyone else can, and so can i? Sometimes, the server goes down for a few minutes, even an hour or 2, or even until the next day, so just keep refreshing it.

Ill let you guys know about availability. Paypal payment will speak over all others, first come, first served, once I annouce that some are available. Then, I will keep a list in order of those who said "yes, I have cash in my paypal account now and want to buy" and sell to those persons in that order.
