Here's what you do.
Find out if the Land owner had contacted the people about it. If so then your one step closer to legally owning it.

Contact the DMV andfind out exactly what you have to do. Usually you have to try and contact the owner(sometimes you don't have a contact for them[hint,hint]).

If the owner wants it back. Talk with the land owner beforehand.
Try to get the land owner to say there is a storage fee for having it sooooo long(like 50 bucks a month).
That will help the owner think otherwise of wanting to keep it.

Its definantly been repainted. I'd say that is easily worth 1500 non-running so I would definantly try to fix it up as it seems like the body and interior are in real good condition other than the rear

lol~~~ I paid 1500 for mine with a running but high mileage motor... and I felt like I got ripped. and mine was in much better shape.

 

The hood and transmission alone would fetch over 500...

I dont know what the condition the paint is in , but it looks pretty good and its obviously been repainted

New motor and fix the rear for like 1200 and youve got a good deal
