Long time no start

I just got my tII swap all ready to go, and now I need to make sure I do this right the first time. The engine(jspec) has been dormant for about (I'm guessing) 4-5 years. What are some procedures I should do before cranking it over.

thanks/

I know this is going to sound funny, but my buddy is a tech at Mazda. If the engine don't crank over, add a quart of oil in the spark plug holes and crank it. I can get better procedures for you if you want. He says, it works like a charm. lol

just make sure the oil is topped off and you have good fuel then pull the egi fuse and crank it a couple times holding the pedal to the floor(so you dont flood it) this will get everything coated in oil and then put the egi fuse back in and start her up. -mike
