long distance question

this happened a few months back but I took a trip down to Tucson from phoenix which is about 130 miles spent the night and when I woke up to drive back home my engine was flooded, Jrat helped me pushstart it and I've had no further issues but I was wondering what could have caused this. Should I have let the car cool off when I got there or what? It wanted to do it again after I got back home but I started it up and let it idle for about 15 minutes and it was fine. And I haven't driven that far since so I don't know if it'll do it again.BTW it's a 1987 n/a
thanks in advance

Low compression. its a sign of age unfortunately. I have had similar problems with prior fc's that I have owned. Mabe try the seafoam treatment through it, see if it helps a bit. mabe some carbon build-up. But if it is an S4, its quite old and prolly just needs some tlc.
