hot exhuast on the gas tank, wires strewn about on the batt., do you like fire lol. I understand the need for some ghetto rigging, but i think your car deserves better, and do you have two head units in there?

One head unit, other is a DSP. Only thing I could find to make some decent sound in the rx-7 using the stock..ish locations. YES... the car needs 1) help, 2) money, 3) girlfriend... err wait...

Seriously though... when I grduate college, it will probably be taking a 2nd priority to a mint FD. Its a driver, and yes it does deserve better. I'm trying. And although it looks like absolute ****... its mechanicaly sound... (shuddup ed... )... honest!

It will sound better then your speeker moving around
I hadn't thought of using wood or cardboard... thanks for the idea, I'll have to try that.

Our fame has spread far and wide, somewhat like dropping a rotting jar of penut butter.

More people better post the ghetto stuff they have done to help dilute the two of us :-p

This is a picture of how I ghetto-rigged Pat's convertable top (this part gets covered with black duct tape). It doesnt leak at all and it stays in place even when the top is put up or down. better then laying down over a grand for a new top

Uh oh, a man who can sew :-p I'm just used to making things out of leather. Making a shift-boot is really childplay, its just a pain because you have to make a stencil out of the old warped and cracked boot.

But trust me, that boot will NEVER succumb to any type of thrashing. Its made out of rather thick back leather (the stuff a good belt is made out of) and sewn with thick sinew coated in beeswax :-p

I actually have enough leather to easily make a whole top for a vert, but that would take forever and taking care of it would be a real pain! And I'm not into the whole BDSM look for our cars :-p (Thinks of a vert top of black leather covered with chains, buckles, and spikes) Yeh, not for me!

More people need to post their ghetto fixes/mods already!

+10 points for use of duct tape
+20 points for looking like crap
+10 points for use of objects not expected for use in a car (such as stuffed animals )
-20 points if its yellow
+100 points if it somehow mocks those snobby VW guys :-p

Allow me to add that which is ghetto fabulous

I needed to remove the front pulley bolt and I didn't have any way to stop the engine from rotating. Enter the accessory belt.

(Note: I cleaned the battery terminal. And don't mind the big bolt in the steering column. I doesn't leak, so its not high on my priority list )
