I am having some problems with my logicon.

The heat selection slider does not work, and I have traced that down to the blend door on the driver side by using the search here... that is now wired up so I can reach down and switch it over.

Just yesterday though, I turned the blower to vent to see how warm it was, and it would not go back to defrost. The lights on the logicon still work and the buttons seem to work as well. No matter what buttons I push it stays on vent.

I tried to search but I just kept fiding the heat selection problem, couldn't find anything about the blower type (defrost, vent, feet, etc.). Is this more than likely a bag logicon, or is there some other typical problem related?

 

Mode motor is probably either bad or disconnected.

It could also be the Logicon, but I would check the mode motor first.

 

thanks icemark.... I actually checked your site a few days ago for a wiper switch but you're all out right now....

I'm going to do a search now on how to check the mode motor, hopefully I'll find something

There are actually pretty good instructions in the FSM as I recall.

 

yeah, I just got a whole box of wiper switch cores in this weekend. I should have some rebuilt this week.
