Logicon Issue
It appears that the logicon in my Vert is not working. I checked all the previous post on the issue and I am convinced that is the problem. You can push the dial back and fourth without a change in temp. I have two questions. On a temp. basis is it OK to connect the two heater hoses so they bypass the heater? 2 when the logicon goes will I be best advised to get a replacement or is cleaning up the grounds going to do it?\
Thanks,
Bob

I've heard you can clean off, or re-do the solder points in the unit, but I simply replaced mine with a used one when it was acting up.
Now it works fine.

I think this has a pretty good write-up on fixing solder points.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
You need to determine of the problem is in the temp mix motor or the logicon.
I have posted quite a few times in the past on how to troubleshoot it.
And it is very very rare to have the Logicon need resoldering for the temp mix or airmix outputs.

Why do ya wanna bypass the heater core? It's blowing hot all the time?
The air mix motors are fairly big bucks from Mazdatrix. Why not just pull the connecting rod off the flapper door (on the left side of the hump under the dash, then you can manually set it to cold?
Logicon ok to pull/solder, but this didn't help me.

to hot
yes, it is blowing hot air all the time. Here in MN it is normal to be 90 degrees with about that in humidity.
I pretty much only drive this car in the mild months so the heater is not a big deal to me. I will check out the heater motor though. Guess I didn't read enough of the post.
thanks,
Bob
