Question logicon concern~heat issue

My 87 turbo has a turbo timer, when I turn the ignition off and the car starts counting down my "cooling fan" logicon light ALWAYS comes on. a few times its come on while idling and will stay off if I restart the car, THe car runs 1/3 temp at idle and min 1/2 at 3.5 k in 5th gear and at least 2/3 when I get on it. ANY CONNECTION?

new engine with 2.5 k on it
rb full turbo back
ported wg (mbc set to ~11lbs max in 4th or 5th)
not running lean (wideband shows 1 led rich on accel)
and as dumb as it sounds the stock rad with 83k on it looks killer, I think its fine (shround is there and I DO NOT HAVE AN E-FAN (yet).

went to change the t-stat but the bols are froze and I will need a new waterpump.

what do you guys thing. what the heck is that light.

BTW. beat a WRX yesterday with a MBC and a K&N

thanks
Jared

There is no cooling fan light on the Logicon... do you mean the warning/idiot lights or the gauge cluster???

If so then its because you haven't powered the second ignition lead (the Blk/red at the ignition switch) with the turbo timer.

yeah the idiot lights in the center, top of the dash. Icemark, believe it or not the light came on, the first day I drove it and it didnt have a turbo timer yet (engine blew a few dyas later and part or the rebuild was me putting the tt in, it was 50 bucks on ebay)

I forgot to mention, i have the AC condenser in there still but I dont use the AC at all.

thanks dude

If you have the AC on when activating the turbo timer, you'll need to power the accessory wire as well form the ignition switch, of it turns off the compressor.

I was refering to a sensor on my turboii thats dedicated to the fan. Its sitting out in the open on the filler neck(not the one on the back of the pump). It only works in conjunciton with the little electric fan . I just know that if mine if off, the fan light llights up.
