It lives! But…
I finally got the car completely unflooded and it is ALIVE! Now, I have the problem of no oil pressure on the gauge. The engine runs fine, no apparent problems with the way it sounds or feels. No warning lights…but the oil pressure gauge reads 0. How would I check the oil pressure to see if it’s a bad gauge, or bad oil pump, or other problem?
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated!

There is a yellow wire with a red stripe that connects to the oil pressure sending unit (below your oil filter). Make sure you did not disconnect that in the process of working on your car.

Have someone watch the oil pressure gauge with the car on, and take the oil pressure sensor wire and ground it for 1-2 seconds. If the gauge is bad it wont move. If it is working correctly (the gauge) it will pin. You probably just have a bad connection at the sensor, happens to me when I change my oil (spill a bit on there and it stops working).

i was told by a local work shop of a trick u can do .(u need a second person to help)
with the engine turned off grab hold of the oil cooler line that go`s to the rear plate . it should be easy to squash . then while u have the line squashed get the other person to start the car and rev it to 3000 rpm. u should be able to feel the line go hard . if u cant then its the oil pump reg ,or the oil control reg .

I will hafta check that out too. all I know is that it FINALLY RUNS.....
As far as I recall, the oil pressure guage worked fine last time the car ran, but it has been sitting for a bit too....haven't even gotten to the oil change yet, so that couldnt have caused it to go bad(dirty connections). I will get in there again tonight once it cools down a bit and see what everything else looks like around the sending unit. Any other ideas, let me know!!
