Alright before I tell you my problem let me start off by giving a general idea of things... Alright I own a 1988 Convertable. I cleaned out the radiator and the hoses etc. that are involved with the cooling of the car about 3-4 months ago...

Ok so here's my problem...When I turn on my heater anywhere below and/or at operating temp. the heater works fine. But when the temp. gauge is above operating temp or all the way up to 1/4 from "H"...when I turn the heater on full blast, cool air comes out of the vents...This confuses me alot and I was hoping someone could help me with my problem Thank you for your contributions.

Well it sounds like you have an airlock in your cooling system
its doing what its doing because when the pocket of air trapped in the cooling system reaches your heater core it is either slowing or stopping the flow of coolant thereby increasing your engine's temp to the "H" mark on the gauge and since there is air in the heatercore at that time instead of hot coolant...only cool air comes out the vents.

lol thanks for the help, there is no white castle in cherry hill...Harold and Kumar lied...there is one near Trenton but thats about a 1-1 hr 30min drive from where i am... and i just recently got my license, so im not planning on going soon...But I will go :-) eventually
