a little help
a little help
I realize i'm new at pretty much everything, including owning an RX-7 so bare with me please. I don't know a hell of a lot about it, and was wondering what anyone can tell me basically about simple info.
I drive an 89 rx-7 GX s5. my insurance says it's a 4 cyl.. and again, i know nothing and thought they were 6 cyls. i don't have pictures of the engine yet..
i have a big *** spoiler which came with it.. and i can't decide if i should keep it on.. i'm very partial to it. and i'm wellll aware my rims are garbage. i have no idea what i can even do to make them look any better. So I don't even know any specs of my car, so again I apologize, yea i'm new.. and any help would be great help. thanks. below are attached pictures... obviously. sorry for the night shots. i'll get some better pictures soon.

Welcome! First off, what sets the RX-7 apart from other sports cars is the engine that powers it. Here's one of the best explanations of what a Wankel rotary engine is and how it works. I'm sure most of us on the forum have read it at one point and said, "Ooohhh, I get it!!!"

Learning how the engine works is key to learning how to take care of it
Here's a link to the FAQ for the FC (1986-1991 RX-7). Lot's of good info in here.

Moving on to the wing - Wow, that really is a big wing. Hey, it's your car. If you like it, keep it.
Those wheels look borderline unsafe to me. Impractically small to say the least. I would ditch 'em. The stock S5 GTU rims look sweet IMO, but it'd probably be easier to get some aftermarket ones rather than hunt down a set of stockers.
Well, congrats and welcome to the club. If there's anything you need to know, just ask. This is a really good forum with a lot of smart people
