Little Forgetfull ness

Hey, I was drivin down the road today, when smoke started to pour out (Oil) Anywhoo i check the oil tonight (forgetting about oil consumption) and there is low Oil, everythin the car has been runnin just fine. I Am just wondering if i did any damage? I topped er back up tonight

Well, unless the oil buzzer was on for a while, I don't think you did any damage. And if oil was registering at "L" or above on the dipstick, i'm sure you did no harm.


A young engine (40,000 km) should not be burning oil like that. Sounds like your oil seals or side seals are going.... and that = rebuild ....

it only did it for like 100 feet. and this has never happened before...well once

Yeah, if nothing happened at the time (or shortly after) then nothing happened. You're fine.

I'd be more concerned about WHY a young engine like that is smoking like it's on its way out
