At the top of the page that is incorrect numbers for the Drive Plate / Flywheel to AT counter weight ?
according to the FSM in the specifications under the automatic transmission that was the figure given, the 289+ figure is for the large nut holding the counterweight to the e-shaft.

Yes I am aware what the E-Shaft nutt is and I am glad I did not have to undo and RE torque that bad boy on since I got me an engine from an Automatic that CAME with an original AT counter weight already factory torqued.. Not a replica, I heard some are off balance or not as good as the OEM weights.. 45 lb's sounds a little low for the Flywheel Bolts.. Fidanza specifies to use factory specs on the Pressure Plate Bolts and Flywheel to Crank Bolts..

all the CWs are factory ones, regardless of who sells them. no one but mazda has ever sold/produced them. those who ran into balancing issues simply got the wrong one, they can be a pain to verify as well since there is no distinguishable markings on them and the S4 to S5/6 are VERY similar in dimensions.

I would not use these specs for tension bolts but this should be good for bolts elsewhere.

Also.

Not sure about the FD3S, but from the '86 FSM side bearing cap bolt torque is specified at 27-38 ft.lbs. BTW, the torque that's listed in the '90 FSM (don't remember what it is at the moment) is incorrectly specified. I once snapped a bolt on my '90 diff when using the torque specs listed in the '90 FSM.
