Liquid Anarchy vs. Jimmy325i

Well, this is a great idea on both our parts.

We're having a grudge-match; Timeslip Shootout.
We'll set a date, sometime after the dragstrips open up again; the person w/ the fastest timeslip, wins.

I think we decided to keep it N/A to N/A (even though he might be running nitrous, turbo, or forced induction of some kind {I'm foolishly waiting on Mr. Germano})

To keep everything fair, I'll videotape my runs. If one is contested, I'll FIND a way to digitize it and get it on the internet. Jimmy, if you can do the same, I'd urge you to. I don't think anyone has seen a 13second N/A before.

The date will be set at a future date.
Let the best man win.

On a sidenote; I'd like to see this trend continue on the forum. Maybe even go as far as a Grudge-match section of the forum? Just an Idea. This is a very cool thing to me.

He's throwing around the idea to run a turbo, but won't put it in until the shootout is completed. As per the Nitrous, it won't be used on any of the runs (unless noted, and they won't count) that's how.

Put your money where you want, I don't care if I win or lose. I just think it's a good idea, and will hopefully promote some good sportsmanship on this board.

Soul's car is in parts

But yeah, you get the idea. Pit some cars agenst eachother, in what seem like they would be good races. It may surprise everyone, but Jimmy and I will be running VERY similar setups... it will be more in the air than you think.

I would love to see a grudge match between Icemark and HAILERS!

Put them both in a junk yard with many destroyed 7's and see which can get one running first!

hehe, damn an N/A running 13s, his car must gutted to the bone and got some crazy street port, tell you right now weight it gonna be a disadvantage so if your runing dual might wanna switch to single say about 20-30lbs, and if the dude is running 13s with his N/A well **** I need to get him to build me an N/A, **** I'm hoping to get into the high to mid 13s with my modded TII, and if i was an N/A i would never worry, I hate that about turbo cars, I alway get nervous at 6k in 3rd and usally never shift past that, while in my 89 gtu I would redline that **** atleat 3 times a day, through all the gears!

Damn, its obvious the damn mods just plain dont give a ******* horses *** about anything. But, yeah, and im backing Liquid. My car can run mid 14s on stock ports, and he has near twice what i had. I want to see this race! and i might also bein it when i get my car running, maybe three way? Or ill take winner? LoL.

Great idea for the internet-race wars.

I want to see Turbo N/A vs. TII, same mods, same psi, and see who wins.

Any money being put on this race? Show some confidence in your car, and make the race all the more fun and worthwhile to the winner.

I love |betting on myself. I even bet when I play minigolf

No one is close to me, save one.

Scott Mackenzie vs. Scathcart??
Without NOS, he'd win I think. Maybe not though... hmm.

Well,.. wouldnt the N/A win due to the higher compression? Saying the mods are the same, and no porting done to either block.

Scathcart- what do you run with out the baby bottle? no one is close to you eh? um.... sure.

I would think the 6-port engine with a turbo running the same boost would be quicker than a T2 running the same boost also, but you never know....

arent the 6 port engines more restrictive than the 4 port? but the higher compression would probbably more than make up for that... but have fun running 15 psi on a 9.4:1 rotary engine.

The stock 6 port intermedaite housings are patheticly restrictive. Which is precisely why I went for the 4 port intermediate housing. Best of both worlds.

Just got my second aluminum spare to be running up front on the track from kevin off ebay last night. So that setup came together nicely.

My car is not totally gutted. i have no insulation under the carpet and strategic sheet metal has been discarded. (nothing too radical yet) And although I wouldn't qualify in SCCA IT class, I'm not too far beyone the rule book for them. 2400lbs really didn't take much effort to attain.

I'll most certainly keep it honest and strictly n/a for the bout. Video will be very likely as I'm gonna want to show everyone what this sucker can do. I haven't decided if the juice will be going in next year or if I'm going to invest in other mods first.

Are we running street legal tires here or can we run slicks? I guess we have quite a bit of time to work that out seeing as the ground is freezing as we speak...

As for the same boost comparison. You'd either love rebuilding popped engines or you'd have an intercooler 3 times the size of the radiator to run the same boost in a high compression motor as a low compression one. I'm sure it can be done, (dave atkins has a customer running 20psi of supercharged power on a daily driver) but when does it become foolish to try?

I also will build more of my engines. Customers are already lining up. Had my first one within 2 days of the break-in being complete. Gonna be a fun winter with the die grinder in hand.

I'm planning to drive my car to the track, run it, and drive it home. 0-changes...

although, I'm tempted to try a run or 2 in my clubs new project car (or at least SOME of the members' project car) 86' Base, 100% gutted, w/ a BP6-Port... should be intresting.

I'm just hoping not to get too terribly embarassed at this race

I was meaning by location, not by 1/4 mile times.

No one is near me, adjacent ro me, immediate to me, etc.
Make sense now?

I've said before that any TII with FMIC, standalone/ and/or upgraded turbo should walk all over me.

HMm.. is Adrian's car up and running yet?
