Does anybody have the Hurst Roll Control Line Loc system installed on their car? I just bought one and am wondering if you could give me any tips before I go to install it.

I looked at the way my brake lines are routed today. It's kind of confusing! Which lines did you hook up the Line Loc between?

it is used for burnouts from what i've been told. Unlocks the rear wheels when you have the breaks on, by command that is.

 

soulassasin did you tee the lines or did you use two line locks?

 

Line Locs will lock up your front brakes while allowing the rear wheels to spin.
Very critical for a good launch.
It comes with a button to actuate the locks. Where did you put your button Soul Assassin?

 

Do you have to buy a line loc kit? or is there any way to do it yerself? How much does the kit cost? Where can I get it at?

I want line lock =)

you can get them from jegs.com or summitracing.com. they range from 35 to 90. the upper range line locks are rebuildable where as the inexpensive ones are not.

 

you only need one line loc, i mounted my switch on my e brake handle. it is pretty easy to install with regular handtools, just plug one of the front brake lines coming out of the master cylinder and tee the other one into the line lock. i can take some pics if this confuses you but the instructions that come with it are pretty clear. have fun lighting your tires up on command! i know i do!

I tried to get the switch over my BIG shaft, but the rubber is too small! At least, that's what she said!

 

i took the rubber off and zip tied it

 

Thanks Alf! I knew there had to be a place to mount that besides the gear shift shaft.

 

Alf, I made this crude illustration of my brake lines. Can you tell me which one you plugged, and where you put your "T"?

Here is what I'm thinking.
Plugging F2. Run F1 to my line loc. Put a "T" on the "OUT" of my line lock. Run one line to F3 and the other to F1.
How does that sound?

 

try to explain it--- the line that comes off the front of your master plug that one run the other one to your line loc come outo f line loc tee into the 2 front brakes your drawing and numbering system confused me even more! lol! i will get some pics for ya though

I got to looking at them and started wondering why you had your Master cylinder covered with heat resistant material, then I saw the downpipe right below it! Man! I'm glad I have an American version! That looks like a serious design flaw!
I will be installing mine this weekend! Ready for some smokey burnouts!
