Line on firewall from brake booster? Whats it do?

Ok heres my question. I got the car running, and I was eliminating lines off the firewall, so I pulled the one off from the brake booster. My problem is im having stiff brakes, as if I have no power brakes. So my problem is either within this line I removed, or I didnt hook up the booster line to a good spot on the intake manifold. Is it possible to hook up brake booster line incorrectly? Or does this little line off the booster need to be capped?

There is a vaccum hose that connects to the middle nipple on the back side of the UIM, then runs to the hard line on the firewall, back to the brake booster. That IS your power assist brakes, you want that without that vaccum line going to the brake booster you loose all your power braking system, you are now on just manual non assisted brakes.
