how do I know if it has limited slip diff or not?

 

if it ain't turbo2 or GXL, it ain't LSD.

Models that has LSD from factory

s4: GXL, GTU(?), T2
s5: GTUs, T2

if its been swapped on, it'll say limited slip differential some where on the pumpkin.

No LSD. i suggest reading the FAQ's and stickies. theres a thread that tells you what models came with. interesting read.

either way guys.. thx for theimput and I was checking out the faq thats where I got the idea to ask (I never knew any of them came with lsd) however I did not read which cars (I must have missed that part of the read)

Here's some useful information for you since you're new and DON'T seem to understand things yet (like not posting on every thread for no reason).

1. 90% of questions can be answered through searching.

u can tell if its lsd in any car by jacking the rear up and spinning one tire if the other goes the opposite direction u have lsd. oh and make sure the ebrake is off. lol i can just see somebody saying "man i couldn't get any tires to spin what kind of differential is that?". lol
