LIM Turbo variations?

Took some comparison pictures of LIMs pulled both of these from an S4 turbos.

Right one is pulled from my car.

Left one is pulled from an S4 turbo doner car.

Are there reasons for these LIM variations in S4 turbos?

This is the 5th time iv come across something like this, Even found several oddities on Jspec S5 TII manifolds aswell, but was unable to take photos at the time. Can someone enlighten me?

yeah the egr and sub-zero start are removed on the shiny one. the secondary fuel rail mounting boss is busted on your usdm manifold

actually the one on the left is from a JDM S4 turbo and the one from the right is from a USDM s4 turbo. I had the one on the left then swap back to the one on the right. and i remember i had purchased a S4 turbo from CT which was JDM thats why that is like that.

btw yeah your secondary rail mount thing is toast.

Yeah i know its broken, which is why im swapping the manifold to begin with.

I had thought it was JDM too, thanks for sharing.

I just found it alittle odd that that manifold was pulled from a USDM S4, the owner said it had lots of miles and had a fire. But it was probably an old JDM swap that went bad.

Is there a 3rd variation as well? I thought cars originally sold in California have the EGR passage, but no cold start assist. I may be wrong, but I was pretty sure I read this.

Talking about top pic only...

Left is JDM - no EGR.
All US-spec S4's come with EGR.

The right one has the sub zero assist valve on it.
It's a regional thing - I'm not sure of the specs, but it's something like everyone but Cali spec FC's came with it?
