Well well well................. The light kit is working perfectly in my car. The lights are awsome at night! Although I dont think this mod is for everyone. Reason being you have to shorten the linkage from the retractor motor to the light assembly, which requires cutting and welding.

I however would be more then happy to supply the brackets to mount the lights to. All you'd have to buy is some wire and the Hella lights themself.

Im still debating selling this because of the difficulty factor. I also sell gauge pods that are extremely easy to install and have had people complain just bacause they didnt have the ability to accomplish such a task. I cant imagine all the **** id hear about selling these.

Anyone who can't figure out how to make them work probably doesn't know what they are doing.

Price for your "kit"? I'm interested.

Beautiful lights. If you find an easier way to build them let us know...welding isn't exactly one of my specialties.
That is a big *** intercooler by the way.

Do the brackets have the housing built in around the lights or will we have to make that ourselves?

Bad *** job, BTW

All the bracket will do is mount to existing holes on the light assembly itself and hold the lights in the correct position. The bracket also have the holes need to adjust the lights to the correct position.

The brackets are made out of 18 Ga 304 Stainless Steel for rust prevention and can be painted to your liking.

That sounds sweet, but is there a finishing piece around the bracket like there is on the stock headlights, ya know, the two black pieces that hide all of the stuff around the headlight? That's the part I'm asking about.

I think he said long ago at the start of the thread that you'd have to modify your existing black surround pieces to get things covered up and such.

Would you be able to fab up some shorter linkages?

All in all installing it shouldn't be difficult at all, I would buy it from ya now but I currently don't have access to a welder. Maybe in a month or so.

The linkage is the main prolbem keeping me from make a full kit. The way the linkage is made is beyond my fading equiptment. If I were to have another fab shop make these the price would most certainly go above the point of being too expensive.

I now know why the KnightSport kit is $900.

Any thoughts or suggestions are more then welcome.

Well I do fabrication at work.

Depending on how it goes, I can most likely fabricate brackets if people are interested. I just need a template.

I would be making them as they are requested though. No stocking of them. Basicially if you want them, send me the money, I'll make 'em and send 'em out.

Unless demand was high enough..

What kinda fab shop do you work at? Im an engineer at a sheet metal shop that has small machining capabilities but extensive sheet metal capabilities. I'll probally go ahead and make 40-50 sets of light brackets meanwhile.

It's actually a tractor/trailer shop.

But we do heavy equipment moving, and we must modify our trailers to meet certain weight requirements, not to mention repair them as all the strain causes premature wear.

Big or small, whatever it may be, we got the stuff to do it. And do it pretty quick too.
